Madventures!

To play your Madventures (also known as Madlibs,) one person acts as the "Reader" and asks others for specific types of words (like nouns, verbs, or adjectives) without revealing the story premise.

Input these words where they're asked for in your Madventure, and the Reader reads the completed, often hilarious, story to out loud!

Instructions
  1. Choose a Reader: One person will be the Reader.

  2. Ask for Words: The Reader asks the other player(s) for different types of words, such as:

    • Nouns (a person, place, or thing e.g. "cactus" or "Michael Jackson")

    • Verbs (an action word e.g. "strangle")

    • Adjectives (a word that describes a noun, e.g. "sticky")

    • Adverbs (a word that describes a verb e.g. "quickly")

    • Other word types (e.g., "a plural noun," "a place," "a type of food" or "a person you know/celebrity").

  3. Fill the Blanks: The Reader writes the provided words into the corresponding blanks in the story.

  4. Read the Story: Once all the blanks are filled, the Reader reads the completed story aloud, (try not to laugh too hard!).

Important Notes!
  • Players should not tell the Reader anything about the story they are working on! You don't want players to choose words that *make sense* to the story.

  • If you want to reuse the scroll, write in pencil!

  • If you're unsure a word given to you will fit, read the completed sentence back to yourself. If that word doesn't make sense in the sentence, you can always ask for another, or roll with it! Making sense is optional here.

  • Take a photo of your completed Madventure and tag us on Facebook or Instagram @questclubuk We'd love to see your stories!
