Terms & Conditions
General Terms & Conditions
1. Be respectful and courteous to each other and to your Game Masters. We are all here at Quest Club to have a fun time and whilst In Character (IC) disagreements are totally fine, never take these In Character disagreements Out of Character (OOC).

2. We do not accept anyone discriminating against anyone for things they cannot control, so there will be no sexism, racism, ageism, ableism etc at our games. You can absolutely have conflict with people IC, but no OOC discrimination will be tolerated.

3. You may not touch anyone without their express consent while on Quest Club premises.

4. If you have any concerns over the behaviour of any attendee, please make a Games Runner aware as soon as possible.

5. Many of our games are 16+ or 18+ due to certain themes being explored which are potentially for mature audiences only. Please don't be offended if we ask your age.

6. As per this policy, any breach of group rules or abusive or aggressive behaviour may result in your expulsion from our games.

7. If you have any triggers that you will struggle to deal with as a part of any of our games, please make your Game Runner aware as soon as possible. There are some games where we might not be able to accommodate every request, i.e. if you are sensitive to gore, you may be unsuitable for our Call of Cthulhu game, but we will make every effort to accommodate you if possible without compromising the content or themes of the game.

8. The rules of each individual game should be adhered to as much as is reasonably practical. We realise that slip-ups happen, but for maximum enjoyment for everyone it's best that nobody deliberately tries to circumvent the rules. We usually put immersion and story over rules in most instances anyway, but cheating at our games reduces fairness and enjoyment for everyone.

9. If you disagree with a ruling or witness a perceived breach of rules at a game, please do not address it yourself. Direct your issue to the Game Runner either in person or via email or Facebook messenger.
TTRPG Terms & Conditions
1. You only pay for sessions you attend.
2. Our expectation would be that players make an effort to attend at least 75% of sessions throughout the campaign, but we are happy to discuss personal needs and circumstances, e.g missing sessions due to childcare.

3. If you are unable to attend regularly, you will receive a notification in advance that we are considering removing you from the campaign. If attendance does not improve or an agreement cannot be reached we reserve the right to remove you from the campaign.

4. If you know you can't make a session in advance, please let us know as soon as possible by email or text.
LARP Terms & Conditions
1. All attendees at our Live Roleplaying Games must adhere to safety rules at all times. This is particularly important where there is live combat going on.

2. Live combat games:
- Only approved LARP Safe weaponry may be used, these will be safety checked before use.
- Fighting is only allowed in dedicated fight-safe spaces. These will be clearly marked out. No fighting is allowed near windows or furniture.
- You must attend the safety brief at the start of the game. If you are late, you must have a separate safety brief from Game Runners before you can take part.
- We reserve the right to remove you from the game with immediate effect if you do not follow the safety rules at any of our live combat events.

3. Most LARP/LRP games will be 18+. There may be mature themes that will be only suitable for a mature audience.

4. LARP games call for dressing up, so please make every effort to make yourself look as your character would. There are low-costume character options if dressing up is not something you're confident with (i.e. an emotional vampire in Regular human LARPers can be modern-day clothing, and a peasant in The Gladiator Program only really requires a basic IC tunic) so there's no excuse for turning up in something inappropriate or OOC.

5. OOC information given to you outwith a game should not be used IC. Please try to use only the information you have been given IC at a game.
Murder Mystery Terms & Conditions
1. We are far less strict with costuming at Murder Mysteries than we are with our LARPs, but please try to accentuate your clothing to suit the theme of the game where possible. It adds to the immersion and fun for everyone, but is not necessary.

2. If you know who the murderer is Out Of Character because they told you in confidence, please don't share this knowledge with anyone else, and try to only use the information you're given in game to figure out who the murderer is.
3. If we tell you that you are playing the character who is the murderer, please don't tell anyone! This is to maximise enjoyment for everyone, as if you tell that person before/during the game, they will find it very difficult to take part fully.

4. You are welcome to explore the venue to look for clues, but if you open a drawer that has a red dot or red tape, this is an Out of Character storage area and we would appreciate you leaving it untouched. You won't find any In Game clues there.
